Built in the Georgian style and opened in March 1999,The Bell Gallery in Berrima exhibits contemporary Australian art works by prominent artists in regular exhibitions.

The owners, Peter and Lesley Hickey, feel it is important to bring to the Highlands fine art that is not available outside of the major cities.

The Bell Gallery and residence is the fourth gallery owned by Peter Hickey - previous galleries being in Mosman and North Sydney.

The gallery features Peter’s paintings and etchings. Peter proofs his etchings on on the etching press which has pride of place in the large gallery.

The surrounding countryside of the picturesque Southern Highlands provides unlimited inspiration and the artist’s studio in the residence attached to the gallery is where Peter's work comes to fruition.

The gallery hours are: 11am until 5pm Friday to Monday.
