artist news
Nafisa Naomi has been exhibiting with The Bell Gallery for over two years and we are delighted to announce that she has just been awarded the" Packers Prize " for the Archibald Prize 2010
Her portrait, which is a huge black and white oil painting, is of the Rock Historian, Glenn A Baker.
Head storeman , Steve Peters, Head Packer, who leads the selection panel was quoted as saying 'It looks like Glen A. Baker, for the "Packers Prize" it has to look good - which knocks out half of them ....what a fantastic hat she has painted as well'
